ABOUT THE LITTLE BROWN SCHOOL
The Little Brown School was founded in 2010 as a full-day preschool with a Reggio-inspired curriculum that would provide children with the opportunity to become confident, capable and caring learners.
We are a small school and the majority of our students are with us for all four years of their preschool career. We are not a daycare. Our new students enroll each summer (usually August) and stay together for the entire year before moving up as a class the following summer. Students are grouped according to their birthdays so that all students in a graduating class are kindergarten-eligible that August (5 years old on or before September 1st for Beaufort County).
We are conveniently located in the quaint town of Port Royal, within walking distance of the Cypress Wetlands, the Sands Beach, the Post Office, the Police and Fire Departments, several parks and a ball field. We take full advantage of our local environment and incorporate it into our students' daily lives.
Our students study yoga, Spanish, Sign Language (ASL) and music every week.
Hours: 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
