We were lucky enough to start the week with some nice weather so we could get in major playground time. The kids LOVE the new toys Mrs. Willis brought to the big kid playground. The see-saw and the digger have been great fun for everyone, and also have been a nice way for us teachers to practice teaching the kids patience, and how to share.
We have had a fun start to the holiday season here at LBS and the kids have made some beautiful decorations, gifts, and crafts. It has been yucky weather but we have been sure to practice tons of songs and to work extra hard on our classroom activities.
The kids have been practicing holiday songs with us, Ms. Erin when she comes on Monday and Wednesday for Music and Creative Movement, and with Senora Olga for Spanish on Thursday. Safe to say the two-year-olds are sure to be a hit for our show on the 21rst!
Hope you all have a fun, happy, safe, and warm weekend!

These wonderful little ones had a great week discussing the upcoming holidays. We talked about Christmas trees and are excited to have a small wooden one for them to decorate this upcoming week in our classroom. The kids are so excited for Santa and all the fun events that will be happening over the next few weeks and so am I!
We will be making a big banner for our grand friends to lbs29935.smugmug.com/2020/Reggio-Groupenjoy and some other arts and crafts in the next few weeks ahead. We have been enjoying the beautiful weather as well and having extra outdoor time. We are reading a book about a polar bar cub learning to swim and practicing the movements that go along with that. We also are talking about expression.
Congratulations to The Jones family on the newest addition to the family, and thank you to the Mitchel family for introducing Eli to our classroom this past week. Wishing all the families in our classroom and at LBS a happy and safe weekend.

Picture week was too cute! We adored the outfits each little one rocked on Tuesday an Wednesday and I was so proud that they were able to hold it together for our big group photo. I have had such a spectacular time getting to know all of the kids personalities and I bet the camera really captured it! This class has done so well forming fun friendships too.
We finished painting and stamping our ABC board and they loved the opportunity to get to paint something new. They love to paint! We are going to finish making our turkey handprints for our grand friends whom we will be visiting Tuesday next week.
This upcoming week will be short but we look forward to spending time with your kids and getting them excited to visit with families and friends for thanksgiving. Please remember the school will be closed Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. We will be ready to talk about the great food and family time Monday though!

Our week flew by! We had a great time creating our classroom ABCs and matching our faces to our first letter of our name. We will continue to work on our letters this upcoming week.
The kids are doing very well with lunch time, potty time, and getting to be professionals when it comes to speaking Spanish(listening to Ms. Olga speak Spanish. They continue to grow each week and I could not be more proud of how well they have been listening and learning.
The weather has been harsh on these poor little ones as well- hot, cold, all over the place. I have made sure to put extra jackets in cubbies so please check if you feel like you are running low! We try hard to make sure jackets are on always when it’s chilly.
Picture Day Tuesday!!! November 14th
Photos here. We also updated last week's with more photos.
Somehow we have accomplished another week together and this one sure flew by! I could tell that Halloween sugar had definitely kicked in by today; with the combination of excitement for Friday, our class was a little on the wild side. 🤸🏻♂️🤸🏼♀️🤗
I was so proud of how well not only our class but all of the kids behaved on Tuesday. It was amazing to see how friendly they were, how perfect the costumes came out, and that each child’s listening ears were turned on! What a fun time and how lucky are we to walk around the schools beautiful town and feel safe with all these little ones.
We have been really enjoying dancing, music, and our playground time. The children have really all opened up so well to one another and to us teachers. It is an honor to listen to them express themselves each day. We look forward to our new addition Bryce that will be joining us Monday.
Hope everyone has a safe and fun filled weekend. Here are our photos.
Week 12 can you believe it! This past week we made octopus to hang from our ceiling in the classroom. The kids love to paint! I love seeing the creativity and concentration in each one of their faces.
We are still exploring movement, but have finished our sea life exploration and dinosaurs, and will be looking further into our own bodies. Jumping, dancing, twirling, tip toe; we will become better at understanding how we move. The school does an amazing job of providing fun specials each week. Miss Erin and Brittany will be a great help in introducing the focus of the way we all move (yoga and creative movement). We have Halloween to look forward to on Tuesday as well and cannot wait to see the kids in character. To coincide with the children’s love for wild life, us teachers will dress up like animals to have a little fun with them!
I adore the different personalities we have in our room and I am so proud of the advancements each day. I hope you all have a safe and fun-filled weekend. I look forward to what’s ahead and I am always available for any questions, concerns, or suggestions. Our photos are here.
Warm Regards, Miss Katie
It's been another fun-filled week with your little ones, and they are growing right before our eyes. I am so thrilled with the behavior changes I have seen like how nicely they are starting to get along regularly, and they have been listening and responding more for us teachers. At this age, one of our big goals at school are for the children to learn to be kind, cooperative and respectful of others. I know not everyday can be perfect but I have enjoyed every moment with your kids.
We have been excited to learn the I’m a Little Teapot dance this week. We also have been practicing our abc’s and numbers up to 10. Dancing has been our true outlet this week!
Hope all have a safe and happy weekend. We will look forward to learning a bit more about fall, Halloween, and crawling creatures next week.
During this hot and humid week we managed to accomplish a lot in our fun classroom. We finished making some colorful fish to “swim” around us while we work. We perfected our yoga moves, and sang lots of songs.
While mastering the movement of our surrounding sea life the kids also conquered all of the different sounds. This next week we will begin to learn more about sounds, and shapes. We have some books of what foods go with which letters, and what animals make certain sounds. We also have some new shapes in our big kid playground to discover and observe.
I am looking forward to the creative suggestions we will learn as teachers from your kids! They are just so smart, and so funny that I love to let them take “control” sometimes.
Have a safe, fun and happy weekend!
This week we continued exploring the ocean and sea life with the kids. They love and have become pros at making “fishy faces” and they are really into sharks. I think because sharks rawr like dinosaurs may be just a small part of why they have really enjoyed re-enacting and learning about them.
I have also enjoyed watching them during our fun specials each week. They have music Monday, yoga on Tuesday and then have creative movement on Wednesday. They have been such wonderful listeners, and amazing me with what they have picked up on so quickly.
Friday we got to visit our grand-friends at Helena’s House. The kids had made “thumb-body loves you” cards with stamp ink right before the hurricane and we’re excited to finally get to hand them out.
Hoping this weekend brings beautiful weather and lots of fun!
Here are our photos.
This week our class continued to work with movement and we did so by thinking and talking about the ocean, and the sea life around us. The kids have practiced fishy faces, swimming out and inside, decorated art work with cool blues and water colors. They have excelled in this weekly objective and I am going to extend it into next week's lessons.
We have two fish in our classroom and the children take turns feeding them. They love to watch them swim up and down. Next week we will learn more about the different types of sea animals.
We have also been very lucky to incorporate our weekly objective into our special. We have music on Mondays and learn new and different songs. Tuesday is yoga and we move our bodies and stretch with Miss Brittney, and Wednesday in Creative Movement with Miss Erin we learn how to follow directions and move like animals around us.
