The kids had a fun week celebrating love. They were able to make some fun painted hearts to give to you parents and some to bring along for our grand-friend visit on Wednesday.
We have been really enjoying the warm weather and have had a lot of fun playing outside. The kids love the bikes on both play grounds and they really enjoy the kitchen and vacuum still inside our classroom.
I was out sick for a few days but had some great reports on the kids while I was gone. I also loved coming back to these wonderful little ones. They sure know how to make a girl feel special! Hoping all of you had a great week- please always email me with any questions or concerns. In the meantime enjoy your long weekend- and have fun!
We celebrated Brennan’s birthday this week and had a wonderful time with his grandparents. They came in and read a Christmas story about frosty the snowman (Brennan’s favorite book!) and then surprised our classroom with a blow up snowman! The kids had such a great time remember snow that we had here in Beaufort and listening to a fun tale about frosty.
We had some interesting weather as well this week, but we were able to have a lot of fun outside. Candler saw a woodpecker on the playground and was so excited! She spotted it up in a tree and her David and Gibson could not wait for the other class friends and the teachers to see. We also have gotten a lot better about sharing on our playground.
One big reminder is using nice hands and kind words with our friends. Please continue to use these phrase with your kids at home because we always see a big improvement when we reiterate these phrases all the time.
Thank you for another wonderful week- and wishing you a very happy and safe weekend.
Week 26 and what a fun week! Some changes have been made in our classroom and the kids have done a great job adjusting! Miss Baylee was so surprised and extremely grateful for a fun baby shower on Friday with all of your little ones around her. We are so excited for her to become a mommy!
The kids have been continuing the process of learning manners and exploring our emotions. We are having a great time reading new story books each day that talk about sharing, and how to get along with our friends. They are so fun to watch grow and see the difference in how they express themselves.
Our class has a fun month of birthdays and we had a blast celebrating Wesley and look forward to birthday fun for Brennan and Beaux as well as Gibson coming up!
Hoping you all have had a wonderful weekend- I look forward to a fun week ahead preparing for a visit on Valentine’s Day to see our grandfriends!!
Best- Miss Katie

We have lots of kids who have mastered the potty but we do have some newbies and it’s great for them to see other classmates being so successful! We are so excited to help with this process and are always willing to share any advice; or get advice from the parents on what works best at home! Please make sure to check our door if your child needs pull-ups or extra clothes - we update the list daily.
The kids and I have been working on emotions, movement, and manners combined. We have been learning about different kinds of emotions and how they can change especially when working on table manners and playing on the playground. It is so truly amazing to see how smart these two and three year old children embrace our words and have conquered our lessons in day to day play at school.
Hoping you all have had a fun, safe weekend! Thanks for all you do as parents and thanks for bringing me such joy in my job through your children. They are fantastic!
This week will be fun filled and will hold lots of fun art work for our classroom assistant Miss Baylee! We are so excited for baby Lucas!

This week was short but sweet. We have some children who just have had a great time in Disney, and have some that were visiting grandparents. They all are always so excited to tell our class what they have been up to. We look forward to hearing about Gibson’s trip to Disney next week when he gets back!
This week was fun for me as the teacher because I was able to do small interviews with the kids and learn some interesting answers. I am so excited for a few months from now to ask them the same thing and see how much more detailed the answers will be. It’s amazing to listen to kids that were not really even talking much a month ago and now they go on and on. It’s such a cool thing to watch them all become more self sufficient each day. Although I must say the love, hugs, and funny questions are what brings me such joy!
We are going to be talking more about food and hunger and what we eat for meals each day. They love our little kitchen in our classroom and making different foods for us teachers and friends. We also have a cash register and a vacuum and they have had the best time acting like they are in a store or cleaning up around the class.
Wishing all a safe and happy weekend and a very happy birthday to our fabulous boss Mrs. Willis.
This past week was filled with crafting, singing, and lots of play time. The singing has been fun for the kids but the extra play time has been much needed as well. They love playing on the big kid playground and being outside. We have loved watching them playing basketball, riding the different bikes and using the digger.
The snow and Christmas break have been great to discuss as well. The kids have done such a great job filling us in on the wonderful things they did while away from school. The best part is they all remembered how to behave at school and how to be kind to their friends. I am so proud of how grown up they are becoming and excited mostly to continue to teach them and learn from them myself!
Thank you all again for the fabulous gifts and Christmas cards. Us teachers love your kids and have had the best week being back together. We are so appreciative for all that you parents do for us!
Wishing you all a safe and fun filled weekend.
Our week before Christmas break has been a great success. We had a fun time reading Christmas stories, making gifts for loved ones and singing Christmas carols.
It’s so exciting to see how happy your kids get when talking about the holiday approaching. They have been practicing very hard for the play next Thursday and we can’t wait to perform for you! We will need them in Red, green, or brown please.
We have been studying emotion in our classroom and enjoying expressing how someone can be happy, sad, mad or excited. We also finished making a beautiful banner for our grand-friends for Christmas. They did a wonderful job visiting Helena House again this past week. We were able to practice our songs for our play next week, and spread some love and joy amongst our grand-friends.
Looking forward to next week- have a safe, fun, and happy weekend.

We were lucky enough to start the week with some nice weather so we could get in major playground time. The kids LOVE the new toys Mrs. Willis brought to the big kid playground. The see-saw and the digger have been great fun for everyone, and also have been a nice way for us teachers to practice teaching the kids patience, and how to share.
We have had a fun start to the holiday season here at LBS and the kids have made some beautiful decorations, gifts, and crafts. It has been yucky weather but we have been sure to practice tons of songs and to work extra hard on our classroom activities.
The kids have been practicing holiday songs with us, Ms. Erin when she comes on Monday and Wednesday for Music and Creative Movement, and with Senora Olga for Spanish on Thursday. Safe to say the two-year-olds are sure to be a hit for our show on the 21rst!
Hope you all have a fun, happy, safe, and warm weekend!

These wonderful little ones had a great week discussing the upcoming holidays. We talked about Christmas trees and are excited to have a small wooden one for them to decorate this upcoming week in our classroom. The kids are so excited for Santa and all the fun events that will be happening over the next few weeks and so am I!
We will be making a big banner for our grand friends to lbs29935.smugmug.com/2020/Reggio-Groupenjoy and some other arts and crafts in the next few weeks ahead. We have been enjoying the beautiful weather as well and having extra outdoor time. We are reading a book about a polar bar cub learning to swim and practicing the movements that go along with that. We also are talking about expression.
Congratulations to The Jones family on the newest addition to the family, and thank you to the Mitchel family for introducing Eli to our classroom this past week. Wishing all the families in our classroom and at LBS a happy and safe weekend.
