This week the weather kept us inside most of the week, so we got to work on a lot of Holiday projects. We got to use white paint and cotton balls to create our own snow storms. Since it was darker outside, we got to turn on the light table and play with the kaleidoscope blocks. It was so cool to see the colors shining through them. We also enjoyed stacking them. Most of our friends can stack at least three blocks which is actually a two- year old activity. We also started working on our Christmas presents. We got to make to make our own dough. Then our teachers baked it. Then we got to paint and decorate them. We are so excited to share them with you. Don't forget our Holiday Performance next Friday at 10:00. We would love to see you there. Have a great weekend!! This week in the Explorers class we continued to work on our holiday projects. During sign language we started learning some signs from "Twas the Night Before Christmas". Ms. Julie taught us how to sign Santa Claus, stocking, and Christmas tree. During music we sang Jingle Bells and We Wish You a Merry Christmas. These are a couple of the songs that we will be singing for our Holiday Celebration in a couple of weeks. Everyone is welcome to join us for the celebration on the morning of December 21st (10:00 a.m. at the Amphitheater). We also got to use our hands, feet, and fingers to create a class Christmas tree this week. Then we finger painted with green paint. We had a lot of sickness in our class this week. We made sure to sanitize the room and all of the toys in our room. Some of our friends are still very sick, and we hope that they will be better soon. Next week, we will continue working on projects and preparing for our performance. Thank you so much for all of your help and cooperation with our class. Have a great weekend!! |
